Ice Hockey: State Championship 2011

Well, as you've probably heard, the TA Golden Trojans took the state championship title last night for the second year in a row defeating St. Dominics 5-1.  The Colisee in Lewiston was about as packed as I think it can get.  I sat on the opposing side for the first two periods.  The crowd there from what I could hear was really impressed with the TA student section and their spirit.  I overheard one fan on the phone giving an update stating how good the TA team was and how patient they were at setting things up and basically were skating circles around the Saints.  I think that pretty much sums up the season for TA.  You'd be hard pressed to find a more successful and dominant team in any given season in my mind.

Congratulations to everyone involved in this championship season and best of luck to all of you in any future endeavors.  It's been my pleasure to capture the season as best I could.  Doing so seems to have made the winter go by much easier than normal.  Having to ability to get out and shoot sure beats spending the winter on the couch waiting for warmer weather.  So, how long until the spring sports start?!

To my twitter peeps: thanks for jumping on board and making this experience such a blast.  It's been great being able to share and converse with you all.  The other sports could learn a thing or two from you guys.

Insert small plug here- Please keep me in mind for those senior portraits in a few months.

There are two game write-ups at the time of this post: Sun Journal & MHJ.

I've added 145 images to the gallery: TA Varsity Ice Hockey 2011
I do have more locally so if you are looking for something or someone in particular, feel free to ask and I'll see if I have it.  It can be hard to judge what I should and shouldn't add sometimes.
