This has to be the most entertaining game that I've attended so far this year. No, it wasn't due to the lopsided 7-1 score. It goes a little beyond that in my mind.
One had to assume going into it that the game could get pretty heated. Scarborough was coming into the game undefeated. Not only that, but they had just come off a win vs. Falmouth. Scarborough has been the only team to take Falmouth thus far, while Falmouth has been the only team to take Thornton Academy to date.
You could almost sense the tension as the crowd started pouring in. The numbers for the visiting team (Scarborough) just kept building and before you know it, the TA student body had met it's match. The Scarborough kids were representing in full force. They were draped in red, they were standing and they were loud. They even went so far as to make sure they had the rosters in hand so they could taunt individual players by name. They seemed to have a favorite for some reason: Nick Chen. Have no fear, Chen would have his time.
Tempers roared, heads were locked, play was stopped for quite a while, students were tossed, threats were made but in the end it was the Trojans that would prevail. Here is my view on the game.
Ok, ok. If that was a bit too dramatic for you, you can get the real write-ups here:
