You're going to find that this post is a very distinct departure from my norm. Try as I may to explain why, I'm not so sure that I believe myself, so you may not be convinced either.
It was a drizzly foggy day which meant that my results would either be pretty neat, or horrible. You tend to have a feeling about how things are going while you are out there shooting, but it's hard to tell for sure by the 3" lcd screen on the camera. I wasn't disappointed with what I was seeing so that was a good sign. I downloaded my cards as usual but wasn't really excited about getting to them for some reason. I'm in some sort of funk at the moment and I'm not sure why. I'm blaming it on the lack of sun and warm weather.
At any rate, as I forced myself to go through them I thought I would switch things up and do something different. I ran this one image through a b&w conversion which turned out alright, but wasn't quite enough. I then remembered what I had experienced at Fenway over the weekend. I had admired the videos they were showing up on the big screens, especially the very slender screen and how the dimensions made for a very appealing image. So, that's part of what you're seeing here. Not only have I chosen some of my favorite images, but they also had to work with this crop so not everything made the cut. On top of that the processing is a very different product. Blame it on the weather conditions, or my funk....I'm not even sure. I knew that if I didn't get them uploaded right away that I might just have a change of heart come tomorrow so here they are.
