In my experience shooting sports so far, there seems to come a time during every sporting season that the novelty of me being there wears off. People seem to lose interest and stop looking at the results. I guess that what I'm capturing can get rather redundant once I've been shooting the same sport over the course of a whole season. That time has passed for this ice hockey stuff. I've come to recognize this, yet I haven't figured out what to do about it. Maybe I never will. I've weighed some of the options which include covering less events, switching up the editing and stepping out of the box, switching to black & white, shooting the opponents instead or worst case, just not showing up any longer once that time is reached. I guess that only in time will I find the answer.
If you've been coming here often enough, you may have noticed that I'm displaying fewer images and adding less to the gallery. This is somewhat of an effort to overcome the redundancy. I don't see the point in having you go through a crazy number of images in the gallery once the season is over to try and find something that you may like. At any rate, here are a few of the images from the second meeting between TA & St. Dominic High School. I've also added 35 images to the gallery here: TA Varsity Ice Hockey 2011.
