I setup what I'm calling a baby studio in the living room yesterday to get some shots of baby Allison during her early days. I was hoping to do these while she was comfortably sleeping (out cold), but as usual when working with babies; you get what you get and deal with it.
I wish I would have found some really neat props to use, but was only able to use what we had lying around the house. I kept this setup up all day and just placed her in it at different times. Some are shot with available light, and some are strobed.
I've included a section at the end of this post for any photo geeks that may be looking. I think it's safe to assume that I don't have any photog visitors, but it is the world wide web so you just never know. I do know that I do my fair share of peeping at other photog sites and appreciate the added info.
Ok, here is a photo of my setup for these shots. I've got a basice 3'x3' table with a piece of white tile board on top of it. I have my backdrop (various tablecloths) draped over a rod with two lightstands. I also have a superclamp with a speedlite for lighting the backdrops. For the main light I have a 3' Octa with an AB800. I have a trigger on the AB and I have the SB in slave mode.
Some of these shots are with just ambient lighting, some are with just the backlight and some are with both. I hope that helps.
