It's not the tree at Rockefeller Center, but it does seem to get closer every year. I managed to stuff 1200 lights into this one. The two people that read this blog (my brother Eric and my mother) already know this, but in the off chance that someone gets lost and finds them self here you'll notice that I put both white and multi colored lights on the tree. I find that it adds a nice splash of color if done right. The ratio I have here is 800 white lights and 400 colored lights. I would have preferred to use only 300, but what I had was two sets of 200 so I used what I had.
Here's the tree from 2008 for comparison with mixed lighting. It appears to have been a little taller and a much thinner towards the top.

Thanks for making my tree look so ghetto--it doesn't even look like my tree has lights in comparison to yours.
ReplyDeleteIt's not that your tree isn't lit. It's just that I didn't use the tripod to shoot yours so I could optimize my settings to make it looks its best.
