First snow

We got our first snow storm on Saturday night. I really wanted to get out and get some images while the snow was falling, but we didn't get in until 8 pm and the drive home was pretty slick. The roads were covered with snow and I hadn't put the snow tires on yet. Needless to say the summer tires are pretty much spent.

I happened to be awake at 6:45 in the morning so I took a peak outside. Much to my surprise the snow had stopped and the trees were covered with the fluffy stuff. The skies were also clearing which was the perfect recipe for some great snow covered landscape sunrise pics. There was only one problem. I still needed to swap the wheels over! Well, you guessed it. There I was at 7 am changing out the wheels (some call it passion...others use the term insane). I was on the road in about 20 min, but I was too late to catch the actual sunrise.
