As you know, today was Memorial Day. For some reason I came up with the idea of going to the grave sites of my peperes and somehow putting my camera work to good use. I gave my parents a call and told them that I needed them to participate in a little project. I had a vision in my head of how I wanted it to turn out, but could only hope for the best. I was told on the way there that one of them had a flat stone, which worried me for a bit and threw my lighting plan for a loop. These are some of the results:
Here is my mother at her father's place of rest. He did not serve in the military, but is still remembered of course. I have one light on her face with a 10deg. grid. I have another light on the stone itself with a 20deg. grid.
Here is my father at his father's place of rest. Same setup as above with 20deg. grid directly above the stone and 10deg. grid on his face.
For this one I'm still using the 20deg. grid on the stone, but I also have the 10deg. grid shining the flag.
Meghan's great grandmother (may she rest in peace) was also nearby, so we payed a visit to her site as well. Same lighting setup.
I have a couple more from the parade that I'll be adding to this link. You'll find that I have a few more pics there from today and I'll most likely be adding more to it. Thanks for looking.
